THE PRAISE ZONE - A Bible Based Ministry

The Praise Zone is a ministry of growth, diversity, unity, worship and praise, directed by the Holy Scriptures under the strong, watchful and powerful leadership of Pastor David J. Porter. Pastor David Porter, his lovely wife Nicole Porter, and the entire Praise Zone membership assembly, welcomes you to come join us at the "PRAISE ZONE".

Join us any Friday 8pm - 9pm and/or for either of two worship services every Sunday at 11:00am or 6 pm. Join us in praising God in worship services! Bring your wife or husband, bring your fiancee, your girlfriend, boyfriend, father, mother, children, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Assure generations of your family and friends are in worship in the Praise Zone sanctuary where a relevant sermon is delivered and disciples partner with Jesus Christ in winning souls for the kingdom.

Come join us at our sanctuary, we will assure you are welcomed in God's house of worship, and we will assure you are given an introduction to Jesus Christ if you have not given your life to Christ. We will Worship with you, and you will hear the Holy Scriptures.

We will look for each member and our guests to bring as many generations of family and friends to praise and worship on Sunday morning and Friday evening worship services. Also, you are encouraged to join us for Small Group Bible Study Monday - Thursday at 7:00pm at locations across the metropolitan area.

The Sunday worship services begin promptly at 11:00 a.m. and the second evening worship begins at 6:00pm. During the week, join us for a one (1) hour Bible Study for all age groups Monday - Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Contact us at (301) 899-6588 for a location convienent to you.

Prayer gatherings are available every Saturday morning at 10:00a.m. at the Praise Zone, Click: Go to prayer for a more detailed schedule, or click the "Worship and Services Schedule" hyperlink on the menu to the left of your screen.

We are a ministry where you can get involved today in the ministry! Get Involved in Small Groups and other parts of this exciting and bible based ministry. We at the Praise Zone believe that it is a privilege for the believer to be involved in both the life and ministry of the Praise Zone. There are many ways to serve in the ministry. Below is but a small list of volunteer opportunities that are currently available for members in our growing ministry. Sunday Morning Greeter - Help greet our guests assuring they always feel welcome, as well as direct 1st - 4th time guests to the Guest Services team. Let us know you are interested in being a Morning Greeter by clicking getinvolved@praisesone.org

Guest Services - Assure our guests are delighted with joining us for worship services, bible study, and more. Assure our designated guests receive a DVD of a past service and other items to remind them of their visit, and arrange meet and greets with the pastor immediately following worship services. Congregational Care Volunteers Needed To make weekly visits by phone or in person to our homebound members. Other tasks will include helping to further enhance the birthday, get well, and sympathy card ministry for our homebound, military and hospitalized members. To assist Pastor Porter serve home communion (must be ordained elder; or a deacon). Videography Department Team Members - This is a servant covenant department that is comprised of people whose primary purpose is to serve God and His church through the various talents of members of this department led by Brother J. Satterwhite. We currently exist to enhance the Sunday worship service, as well as the church at large, in whatever way to meet our mission of Praising God, Embracing People and Changing Lives. We need staff teams that are prompt for all assignments, faithful in attendance, and equally important, team members that are able to take direction from the Videography Department Leader and maintain harmony at all times with fellow videogaphy team members assuring the best broadcast, productions, and graphics design possible.
