We at the Praise Zone believe that it is both a privilege and a blessing for the believer to be involved in the life and ministry of the Church.  There are many ways to serve at the Kirkland Memorial Praise Zone.  Below are a list of volunteer opportunities that are currently available.

Basic requirements of all volunteer positions includes:

  • Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ reflected in their lifestyle.
  • Be solidly committed to the Praise Zone ministry, and  Pastor David J. Porter.
  • Must be faithful to the church through regular attendance, tithing /giving, & service.
  • Must have positive interpersonal skills; capable of working well with people.
  • Able to manage time and schedules well and to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Committed and consistently on-time for assignments.

Congregational Care Volunteers

To make weekly visits by phone or in person to homebound members of the assembly....To help develop a birthday, get well, and sympathy card ministry for our homebound, military and missionary members...To assist Deacons and/or Ministrial staff serve home communion  If you are interested in this ministry opportunity, see Sister Porter or send an email at nnporter@praisezone.org

Videographer Support Team Members

Volunteers in this capacity assist with creating, from start to finish, a variety of the videos related to multiple ministries within our congregation (Ex.  Worship videos, Promotion videos, recap videos, etc.)  Must be able to adapt to working with many different types of people and ministries for whom you will be producing a variety of video projects. Must be able to work well under stress during a fast moving worship service.  Must be able to take direction from the Director of the Videography Department, and as required take direction from the Director of Videograhpy and/or Chief Operating Officer.

Audio Systems Support Team Members

Maintaining and controlling the entire church audio systems in conjunction with the Videography.  Includes but is not limited to assuring the sound system is ready for each service.  Must be able to work well under stress and a fast moving worship service. Must abe able to take direction from the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the Videography department.

Church Security Team Members

Work with Parking and Building security teams providing a welcome in the parking lot and assuring safety and security during worship services, bible study sessions, small groups meetings and membership assembly meetings.  See Brother J. Norman.
